CountSheet
Free working tool · by ShrutiHow it works
For small shops doing a physical stocktake

Count first. Compare second.

Make blind count sheets, enter what was counted, and separate missing counts from real zeroes. Recounts leave a clear trail to the final difference.

CountSheet in practice

Periodic quantity snapshot only. No live inventory, valuation, accounting, tax report, stock writeback or multi-user sync. Expected values and counts are nonnegative numbers with up to three decimals. Different units should be reconciled separately. Missing counts keep the report provisional.

No account, API, microphone, tracking or cloud database. No subscription is required to run these files.

Free proof, reusable full pack

Full edition: up to 1,000 SKU/location lines, saved snapshot/count job files, downloadable offline HTML, source and original count/recount examples. Free edition: up to 30 stock lines with blind count and reconciliation exports.

Full-pack listing is being prepared. The free web tool is usable now.

New experimental tool. Buyer demand, sales and real workplace outcomes are unproven. No guaranteed savings or revenue.

From input to useful output

  1. Paste the current inventory snapshot with sku, location and expected columns. Optional name keeps the count sheet readable. SKU and location together identify each line.
  2. Download the blind count sheet. Expected quantities are omitted from that form. Count stock, then enter a counts CSV with the same keys.
  3. Leave count empty if uncounted; enter 0 only when you actually counted none. Enter recount when a second count is available; recount becomes the final count.
  4. Review incomplete lines and differences before exporting reconciliation. The tool does not send adjustments to your inventory system.

Could you use a free alternative?

Yes. Existing spreadsheet/label/planning tools may already meet your needs. Try this complete bounded workflow before considering the larger offline pack.
